Specter setup guide for Rust
Specter • Rust
How to launch SPECTER for Rust: Windows and BIOS requirements, disabling protection, libraries, the loader launch order and its error codes.
Instructions
Complete every step in order and don't skip any. Almost every SPECTER startup failure is solved before you even run the loader: Windows protection off, FACEIT uninstalled, virtualization on, Visual C++ and DirectX libraries in place. Any cheat breaks the game rules, so there is always a risk of a ban.
System requirements
1. Windows 10 or Windows 11, builds 21H2 through 26H2 inclusive. You can check your build via Win + R → winver. If your build is newer than 26H2, the loader will only work on it after an update — send your build number to support.
2. A CPU with hardware virtualization enabled in BIOS/UEFI: VT-x on Intel, AMD-V on AMD.
3. Hyper-V, WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux), VBS and HVCI ("Memory integrity") turned off: they hold virtualization themselves and stop the loader from starting its own hypervisor. There is no need to turn them off manually — the loader does it when you press Fix (Step 3).
4. Free RAM: the hypervisor needs one contiguous block of memory, and an overloaded system may not have it.
5. Rust's display mode doesn't matter — fullscreen, windowed and borderless window are all supported equally.
6. No USB flash drive is needed, and no HWID spoofer is included.

Step 0: System preparation
1. Fully turn off your antivirus and Windows Defender for the entire time you use the cheat. Exclusions are not enough: the loader deploys its own hypervisor, and real-time protection treats that as a threat. How to do it — see the guide to disabling Defender.
2. If FACEIT Anti-Cheat is installed on your PC, uninstall it. The FACEIT driver stays in the system even when the client is closed and prevents the cheat from loading.
3. Check virtualization: Task Manager → Performance → CPU, the "Virtualization" line. If it says "Disabled", go into BIOS/UEFI and enable Intel Virtualization Technology, SVM Mode or AMD-V — the name depends on the motherboard. Usually the option is already on, but some manufacturers ship it disabled.

Step 1: Visual C++ and DirectX libraries
1. Visual C++ Redistributable is required in every version from 2005 to 2022 and in both architectures, x86 and x64. A typical cause of "it loaded but doesn't work" is that Windows only has the x64 2015+ package. Latest 2015–2022 packages from Microsoft: vc_redist.x64.exe and vc_redist.x86.exe. Versions 2005–2013 are easier to install with an all-in-one pack: unpack it into a separate folder, run install_all.bat as administrator and wait for the installation to finish.
2. DirectX Runtime: the cheat menu is drawn via Direct3D and uses the legacy D3DX9, D3DX10, D3DX11 and XAudio libraries. Windows 10 and 11 don't have them out of the box, and "DirectX 12 already installed" is a different set of files. Run the official DirectX web installer from Microsoft and wait for it to finish. If it fails with an error, use the standalone DirectX Redistributable package: unpack the archive and run #install.bat.

Step 2: Launching SPECTER
1. Close Rust if it is open: the cheat must be loaded before the game.
2. Download the Loader.exe loader and put it in a separate folder; if the file comes as an archive, unpack it there. If your browser complains about the file or won't let you download it, that is expected: make sure protection is disabled as in Step 0.
3. Run the loader, paste the key from your purchase message and click Validate Key. If the key is accepted, the loader shows the product, the subscription status and its expiry date — make sure it says SPECTER and the term matches what you bought.
4. Click Launch. If instead of loading you see an Error window with a Fix button, go to Step 3.
5. Wait for the message "Cheat loaded! Open game" and only then open Rust.
6. The cheat menu will appear right in the game.
7. If Rust was started before the cheat, the loader will show ERROR_OPENED_ANTICHEAT — close the game and repeat from item 4.

Step 3: Error window with a Fix button
1. This is not a failure but built-in auto-configuration: the loader found Windows components that interfere with its hypervisor — Hyper-V, WSL, VBS or HVCI.
2. Click Fix. The loader will disable these components itself and restart the computer.
3. After the restart, open the loader again and continue by clicking Launch (Step 2, item 4). This is a one-time setup; you don't need to repeat it before every launch.
4. You can also check these components manually in advance: "Memory integrity" (HVCI) is under "Windows Security", while "Hyper-V" and "Windows Subsystem for Linux" are in "Windows Features".
2. Click Fix. The loader will disable these components itself and restart the computer.
3. After the restart, open the loader again and continue by clicking Launch (Step 2, item 4). This is a one-time setup; you don't need to repeat it before every launch.

Menu and hotkeys
1. Menu sections: Players (ESP for enemies and teammates, skeleton, Chams, sleeping and wounded status, held and hotbar items), Animals, Collectibles, Resources, Structures (workbenches, tool cupboard, crates, airdrop, turrets, traps, mines), Radar, Aimbot and Misc.
2. Assign the aimbot key yourself: "Aimbot" → "Aimbot activation key". The same place sets the field of view (FOV), aim smoothing, the target bone and enhanced visibility check.
3. The radar is enabled and configured in the "Radar" section: render distance, window size, rotation with the player, which objects to show.
4. The "Misc" section switches the interface language and also has V-Sync, overlay priority and "Recording bypass".
If something doesn't work
1. The loader finished, but there is no menu in the game. The system is missing rendering libraries: reinstall all versions of Visual C++ (x86 and x64) and DirectX Runtime as in Step 1, then launch again.
2. FAILED_TO_PARSE_SYMBOLS — the loader failed to parse symbols. Restart it; if the error comes back, make sure the antivirus and Defender are off.
3. FAILED_TO_LOAD_VULN_DRIVER — the loader can't load its driver; the antivirus or FACEIT is to blame.
4. FAILED_TO_LOAD_CHEAT — the cheat itself fails to load. Check your antivirus, DirectX and Visual C++.
5. FAILED_TO_INIT_SYSCALLS — system calls failed to initialize; the cause is the antivirus or Visual C++.
6. FAILED_TO_FIND_SYMSRV_OR_DBGHELP — the loader couldn't find required components: check your internet connection, antivirus and FACEIT. All five codes above share the same fix: fully turn off the antivirus and Defender, uninstall FACEIT AC and restart the loader.
7. BACKEND_TIMED_OUT, BACKEND_INTERNAL_ERROR, BACKEND_UNEXCEPTED_ERROR — the loader couldn't reach the server, usually because your ISP blocks it. Turn on a VPN and try again; if that doesn't help, contact support — maintenance may be in progress.
8. FAILED_TO_MAP_HYPERVISOR or "Not enough memory" — the hypervisor doesn't have enough free memory. Close your browser and background programs, or restart the PC and run the loader first, before anything else.
9. "CPU unsupported critical extensions" — Hyper-V, WSL, VBS or HVCI is running on the system. Click Fix (Step 3); if there is no such button, contact support.
10. "Virtualization disabled or unsupported" — virtualization is not enabled in BIOS; turn it on as in Step 0, item 3.
11. "Offsets initialization failed" — this Windows build is not supported (currently supported up to 26H2). Send support the full build version from winver.
12. INVALID_HWID — the hardware doesn't match the key binding. Only support can reset the HWID.
13. TRIAL_ALREADY_USED — a trial key has already been activated on this computer (applies to trial keys only). Contact support.
14. KEY_BANNED — the key is banned; support will tell you why.
15. ERROR_OPENED_ANTICHEAT — an anti-cheat was already running when the cheat started. Close all games with anti-cheat and load the cheat before Rust.
16. Error 19 — restart the computer and, without opening anything else, run the loader again right away.

Support
If the error persists or isn't on the list, message CheatForce support. To get it sorted from the first message, include:
- the product name (SPECTER) and key term;
- the exact error code or a screenshot of the loader window;
- the full Windows version (Win + R → winver);
- what you have already done from this guide.
