NNCheats setup guide for DayZ
NNCheats • DayZ
How to launch NNCheats for DayZ: requirements, preparing Windows and BIOS, installing the hypervisor via the launcher, the Insert menu and fixes for common errors.
Instructions
Complete every step in order and don't skip any. NNCheats for DayZ runs through its own hypervisor, which the launcher installs automatically. Your job is to prepare Windows and the BIOS settings in advance, without skipping a single step.
Step 0: Requirements
1. Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit, versions (builds) 2004 to 25H2.
2. CPU: AMD or Intel; graphics card: AMD or NVIDIA.
3. The system drive uses GPT partitioning, and BIOS runs in UEFI mode.
4. Windows must be genuine and installed from a clean official ISO. Stable operation is not guaranteed on stripped-down, "optimized" or "gaming" builds or on systems with removed components.
5. DayZ from Steam, with borderless window mode in the game (Borderless).
6. No flash drive is needed for the installation. No built-in spoofer is included.

Step 1: Uninstall antivirus software and anti-cheats
Third-party antivirus software and some anti-cheats conflict with the loader, so they have to be actually uninstalled. Pausing or "disabling" them doesn't help: the protection driver keeps running in the system.
1. Go to Settings → Apps → Installed apps (or Control Panel → Programs and Features).
2. Uninstall your third-party antivirus if you have one: Kaspersky, Avast, AVG, ESET, 360, Malwarebytes and the like.
3. If FaceIT AC (the CS2 anti-cheat) or Riot Vanguard (the Valorant anti-cheat) is installed, uninstall them too — they prevent third-party software from loading at kernel level. If you don't play those games, you don't need them.
4. After uninstalling, restart your computer: some antivirus services only unload on restart.

Step 2: Disable Windows Defender
An active Defender is the most common reason the cheat won't start. It has to be disabled completely.
1. Open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Manage settings. Turn off "Tamper Protection" first, otherwise the other toggles will switch back on by themselves. Then turn off cloud-delivered protection, automatic sample submission and real-time protection one by one.
2. Under App & browser control → Reputation-based protection → Settings, turn off all options, including SmartScreen and potentially unwanted app blocking.
3. In Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), on the "Startup apps" tab, disable Windows Security notification icon.
4. Be sure to restart the PC — otherwise some Defender services will keep running.
5. To turn off Defender for good, follow the steps in our guide to disabling Defender.
Items 3 and 4 must not be skipped: if Defender stays in startup, it turns back on after a restart, and the toggles you switched off manually won't help.

Step 3: Turn off Core isolation
The "Memory integrity" feature blocks the cheat driver from loading.
1. Windows Security → Device security → Core isolation details.
2. Switch the "Memory integrity" toggle to "Off" and restart your computer.

2. Switch the "Memory integrity" toggle to "Off" and restart your computer.
Step 4: Configure BIOS/UEFI
The loader needs hardware CPU virtualization, and enabled Secure Boot prevents it from starting.
1. First check the Secure Boot state: Win + R → msinfo32 → the "Secure Boot State" line. "Off" or "Unsupported" means you don't need to touch Secure Boot.
2. Enter BIOS/UEFI: press Del, F2 or F10 while the PC is starting (the key depends on the motherboard).
3. In Advanced → CPU Configuration (the name varies between motherboards), enable Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) on Intel or SVM Mode on AMD. On Intel, also enable VT-d.
4. Disable TPM / TPM 2.0 — this is required on any CPU.
5. If Secure Boot was enabled, set it to Disabled under Boot or Security → Secure Boot. If you can't switch it, set an administrator password (Supervisor Password) in the Security section and the option will become available; once Secure Boot is off, you can remove the password.
6. Save the settings (usually with F10) and restart.

6. Save the settings (usually with F10) and restart.
Step 5: Prepare Windows
1. Sync the time: Settings → Time & Language → Date & time, switch "Set time automatically" to "On" and click "Sync now". If the system time is wrong, the license server won't accept the key.
2. Turn off Windows Firewall and User Account Control (UAC).
3. Uninstall game and PC boosters as well as reverse-engineering tools: MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner Statistics Server, Process Hacker, Cheat Engine, IDA, GearUP Booster and similar programs — they interfere with the cheat too.
4. Disable everything you don't need in Task Manager → Startup apps.

4. Disable everything you don't need in Task Manager → Startup apps.
Step 6: Launching the cheat
1. The Launcher.exe loader is downloaded from the dashboard at 2.27.98.208:8080/user — sign in there with the key from your order.
2. Launch DayZ.
3. Open Launcher.exe and confirm the administrator prompt with "Yes".
4. In the launcher window, enter your license key and click Activate.
5. On the first launch, click Diagnostics — the launcher will check the system and show what may get in the way.
6. On the main screen, click Launch and wait for the check:
- hypervisor not active — the launcher will download and install it by itself; restart the PC and open the launcher again;
- hypervisor running but the game isn't — the launcher will ask you to start DayZ: launch it and join a server;
- everything is ready — the launcher shows the button Inject.
Step 7: Menu and hotkeys
1. Go back to the game — boxes around players will appear right away.
2. Insert — open the settings menu.
3. On modded DayZ servers, the admin can see Insert being pressed, so before playing on such servers, assign a different key to the menu right away. The risk of a ban always remains.

If something doesn't work
Hypervisor is NOT active — click Launch again and the launcher will install the hypervisor; then restart your computer. If the error persists after the restart, check in BIOS that virtualization (SVM / VT-x) is Enabled, then run Diagnostics — the check will show whether VBS and Hyper-V are getting in the way.
Game is NOT running — launch DayZ, join a server and only then click Inject.
The overlay isn't visible in the game — in the DayZ video settings, switch the display mode to Borderless Windowed.
Stopped working after a Windows update — if you have Windows 11 with TPM, the update may have turned "Memory integrity" back on. Run Diagnostics: it will find it and turn it off again, then restart.
WebView2 Runtime not found — install WebView2 from the Microsoft website: go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=2124703.
Auth failed / key not accepted — make sure your internet works and the key is entered without typos or extra spaces. Also check the time sync (Step 5).
The launcher won't open — right-click Launcher.exe and choose "Run as administrator".
Windows won't boot — how to restore the bootloader is described in the next block.

Restoring Windows boot
1. On another computer, create a Windows installation flash drive of 8 GB or more with Media Creation Tool or Rufus.
2. Boot from the flash drive; when the language selection window appears, press Shift + F10 — a command prompt will open.
3. Run diskpart → list volume, find a small FAT32 volume of 100–500 MB, then select volume X (X is its number) → assign letter=Z → exit.
4. Enter bcdboot C:\Windows /s Z: /f ALL, replacing C with the letter of the volume where Windows is installed.
5. When you see the message "Boot files successfully created", remove the flash drive and restart.

Advanced setup
Do these steps only if the cheat still won't start.
Hyper-V and Windows virtualization components. They intercept the hypervisor and interfere with the loader; they are disabled separately from VT-x/SVM in BIOS.
1. Control Panel → Programs → Turn Windows features on or off: uncheck Windows Hypervisor Platform, Virtual Machine Platform and Hyper-V.
2. In a command prompt opened as administrator, run bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off and restart the PC.
3. If "Memory integrity" or Application Guard is enabled, turn them off too.
"Unsupported firmware" error — the drive uses MBR.
1. Check the partition style: Win + R → diskmgmt.msc → right-click the system disk → Properties → Volumes → Partition style. It should say GUID (GPT).
2. If it says MBR, convert the disk without data loss with the command mbr2gpt /convert /allowfullOS in a command prompt as administrator, then switch the boot mode in BIOS to UEFI. Back up important files before converting.
Visual C++ and DirectX. Without up-to-date libraries, the loader and the overlay may crash on launch.
1. Install Visual C++ Redistributable x64 and restart.
2. If DirectX hasn't been updated in a long time, install the latest version.

FAQ
Do I need to install the hypervisor on every launch? Yes: the hypervisor stays active until the PC restarts, after which it has to be installed again. Just click Launch — the launcher does it by itself. The Deploy button lets you install the hypervisor manually in advance, for the next system startup.
Which Windows versions are supported? Windows 10 and 11, versions 2004 through 25H2, installed from an official ISO. Operation is not guaranteed on modified builds, including those with removed components.
