Specter setup guide for PUBG: Battlegrounds

1. Fully turn off your third-party antivirus for the entire time you use the cheat. Adding the loader to exclusions is not enough: it starts its own hypervisor, and real-time protection treats that as a threat.
2. Turn off Windows Defender as well — see the step-by-step guide to disabling Defender.
3. If FACEIT Anti-Cheat is installed on your computer, uninstall it. The FACEIT driver keeps running even when the client is closed and prevents the loader from starting.
4. Make sure virtualization is enabled: Task Manager → Performance → CPU, the "Virtualization" line. If it says "Disabled", go into BIOS and enable Intel Virtualization Technology, SVM Mode or AMD-V — the name depends on the motherboard.
5. Check your Windows build: Win + R → winver. Windows 10 and Windows 11 builds 21H2–26H2 are supported; on a newer build, SPECTER won't start until a loader update is released.
6. Install Visual C++ Redistributable. You need every release from 2005 to 2022, both x86 and x64: if only the x64 2015+ package is installed, the cheat may load but won't work. The 2015–2022 package from the Microsoft website: x64 and x86. The Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes All-in-One pack installs all versions at once: unpack it into a separate folder, then open install_all.bat with administrator rights and wait for it to finish.
7. Install DirectX Runtime. The overlay uses the legacy D3DX9, D3DX10, D3DX11 and XAudio libraries, which Windows 10 and 11 don't have by default, even if DirectX 12 is already installed. Run the DirectX web installer from Microsoft.
8. You don't have to disable Hyper-V, WSL, VBS and HVCI manually — the Fix button in the loader will do it. To check in advance: in "Windows Security", the "Memory integrity" toggle (that's HVCI); in "Windows Features", the "Hyper-V" and "Windows Subsystem for Linux" items.

1. Download the loader: download the loader. If your browser blocks the file, that's expected: it means protection is still on — go back to step 0.
2. Put the loader in a separate folder; if the file comes as an archive, unpack it there.
3. Open the loader, paste the key from your purchase message and click Validate Key.
4. If the key is accepted, the loader shows the product name, subscription status and expiry date. Check these details against your order.

1. Close PUBG: Battlegrounds before launching — SPECTER loads before the game. Click Launch.
2. Instead of loading, you got an Error window with a Fix button at the bottom? This isn't a malfunction but built-in auto-configuration: the loader found Hyper-V, WSL, VBS or HVCI, which interfere with its hypervisor. Click Fix — the components will be turned off and the computer will restart. Then open the loader again and click Launch. You won't have to repeat this on every launch.
3. Wait for the message Cheat loaded! Open game. Don't open the game until it appears.
4. Launch PUBG: Battlegrounds — the SPECTER menu will be shown inside the game.
5. If the game was already running when you clicked Launch, the loader will respond with the error ERROR_OPENED_ANTICHEAT. Close PUBG and start over from the Launch button.

The SPECTER menu for PUBG has two sections: AIMBOT (lock-on distance, FOV radius, target bone, visibility check, bullet prediction, WindMouse smoothing, target markers) and ESP (players, items with category filters, vehicles, projectiles, airdrops).

Menu — the developer doesn't specify a separate menu key: the menu appears in the game by itself once the loader reports it is ready.
Aimbot — according to the developer, it is enabled with the activation key; it is configured in the AIMBOT section, where FOV, smoothing and prediction are also set.

The cheat loaded, PUBG is open, but there is no menu. Almost always the system is missing rendering libraries: reinstall Visual C++ (the All-in-One pack, install_all.bat as administrator) and DirectX. If the Microsoft web installer fails with an error, get the offline DirectX Redistributable Runtime pack from TechPowerUp, unpack it and run #install.bat, waiting for it to finish.

FAILED_TO_PARSE_SYMBOLS — restart the loader; if the error comes back, check the antivirus and Defender.
FAILED_TO_LOAD_VULN_DRIVER — the driver won't load: the antivirus or FACEIT is in the way.
FAILED_TO_LOAD_CHEAT — check the antivirus, DirectX and Visual C++.
FAILED_TO_INIT_SYSCALLS — system call initialization failed: the antivirus or Visual C++ is to blame.
FAILED_TO_FIND_SYMSRV_OR_DBGHELP — the loader couldn't find required components; check your network connection, antivirus and FACEIT.
For all five codes above, the common fix is: fully turn off the antivirus and Defender, uninstall FACEIT AC and restart the loader.

BACKEND_TIMED_OUT, BACKEND_INTERNAL_ERROR, BACKEND_UNEXCEPTED_ERROR — no connection to the server, most often because your ISP blocks it. Turn on a VPN and try again. If that doesn't help, contact support and we'll check whether maintenance is underway.
FAILED_TO_MAP_HYPERVISOR or Not enough memory — the hypervisor ran out of free memory. Close your browser and background programs, or restart the PC and run the loader first thing.
CPU unsupported critical extensions — Hyper-V, WSL, VBS or HVCI is active. Click Fix; if there is no such button, contact support.
Virtualization disabled or unsupported — hardware virtualization is not active: enable it in your motherboard's BIOS.
Offsets initialization failed — this Windows build is not supported (builds up to 26H2 are currently supported). Send support the full build number from winver.
INVALID_HWID — the key is bound to different hardware; only support can remove the binding.
TRIAL_ALREADY_USED — a trial key has already been activated on this PC (only happens with trial keys) — contact support for this too.
KEY_BANNED — the key has been banned; support will figure out why.
ERROR_OPENED_ANTICHEAT — an anti-cheat was running when the cheat started. Exit all games with anti-cheat and start SPECTER before PUBG.
Error 19 — restart the computer and, without opening anything, run the loader again right away.
