Specter Chams setup guide for Rust

1. OS: Windows 10 / Windows 11, versions 21H2 to 26H2. To check your version: Win + R → winver. Builds newer than 26H2 are not supported yet — send your build number to support and wait for a loader update.
2. BIOS/UEFI: hardware virtualization enabled — VT-x on Intel CPUs, AMD-V on AMD CPUs.
3. The Windows components Hyper-V, WSL, VBS and HVCI must be off — the loader can disable them itself when you press Fix. To check yourself: HVCI is the "Memory integrity" toggle in "Windows Security", while Hyper-V and WSL are listed in "Windows Features" as "Hyper-V" and "Windows Subsystem for Linux".
4. Spare free RAM: the most reliable way is to run the loader right after a restart, before your browser and messengers are open.
5. Rust can run in any display mode: fullscreen, windowed or borderless window.
6. No flash drive is needed; an HWID spoofer is not part of the product.

1. Disable your antivirus and Windows Defender completely, not via the exclusions list: while real-time scanning is active, the loader's hypervisor will be blocked. Step by step: see the guide to disabling Defender.
2. If you use FACEIT, uninstall FACEIT Anti-Cheat. Its driver keeps running even when the client is closed, which breaks the loading.
3. Open Task Manager → Performance → CPU: the "Virtualization" line should say "Enabled". If not, enable in BIOS Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel) or SVM Mode / AMD-V (AMD).
4. Install Visual C++ Redistributable, all versions 2005–2022 in both architectures, x86 and x64. Official 2015–2022 packages: x64 and x86 from Microsoft; older versions are easier to add with an all-in-one pack: unpack it into a new folder and run install_all.bat as administrator without interrupting the installation. Windows often has only the x64 2015+ version, which is why the cheat starts but doesn't work.
5. Install DirectX Runtime via the Microsoft web installer. The glow is rendered by a Direct3D overlay that needs D3DX9, D3DX10, D3DX11 and XAudio — a standard Windows 10/11 doesn't have these files even with DirectX 12. If the installer fails, get the standalone DirectX Redistributable package, unpack it and run #install.bat.

1. The game must be closed at this stage: the cheat loads first, then Rust.
2. Save Loader.exe to an empty folder (if an archive downloaded, unpack it there too). Your browser may warn that the file is dangerous — that's expected; in that case, double-check that the antivirus is off (Step 0, item 1).
3. Open the loader, enter the key and click Validate Key. In the window that appears, check the name (SPECTER CHAMS), subscription status and expiry date.
4. Click Launch and wait for the line "Cheat loaded! Open game".
5. Only after this line appears, launch Rust — the cheat menu will appear inside the game.
6. Got an Error window with a Fix button? That's auto-configuration, not a malfunction. Click Fix: the loader will turn off the incompatible components (Hyper-V, WSL, VBS, HVCI) and restart the PC by itself. After the restart, start again from item 3. This is done once.
7. If Rust was opened before the cheat, the loader will respond with ERROR_OPENED_ANTICHEAT: exit the game and click Launch again (item 4).

1. F5 — Remove Layers: quickly hides layers.
2. The cheat menu opens inside Rust after the "Cheat loaded! Open game" message — if it isn't there, see the first item of the next block.

1. "Cheat loaded!" is there, but the menu isn't visible in the game. Rendering libraries are almost always missing — reinstall Visual C++ (all versions, x86 and x64) and DirectX Runtime as in Step 0.
2. Antivirus or FACEIT. FAILED_TO_PARSE_SYMBOLS — first just restart the loader; FAILED_TO_LOAD_VULN_DRIVER — the driver won't start; FAILED_TO_LOAD_CHEAT — also check DirectX and Visual C++; FAILED_TO_INIT_SYSCALLS — also check Visual C++; FAILED_TO_FIND_SYMSRV_OR_DBGHELP — also check your internet connection. For all of these codes: turn off the antivirus and Defender completely, uninstall FACEIT AC and run the loader again.
3. No connection to the server. BACKEND_TIMED_OUT, BACKEND_INTERNAL_ERROR, BACKEND_UNEXCEPTED_ERROR — most often your ISP is cutting the connection. Connect a VPN and try again; if that doesn't help, ask support whether maintenance is underway.
4. Low memory. FAILED_TO_MAP_HYPERVISOR or "Not enough memory" — close your browser and everything in the background, or restart and open the loader before any other programs.
5. Virtualization and Windows. "CPU unsupported critical extensions" — Hyper-V, WSL, VBS or HVCI is running: press Fix, and if there is no such button, contact support. "Virtualization disabled or unsupported" — enable virtualization in BIOS. "Offsets initialization failed" — the Windows build is not supported (currently supported up to 26H2): send support the full build number.
6. Key and hardware. INVALID_HWID — the hardware doesn't match the binding; only support resets the HWID. TRIAL_ALREADY_USED — a trial key has already been activated on this PC; contact support. KEY_BANNED — the key is banned; support will tell you why.
7. Launch order. ERROR_OPENED_ANTICHEAT — an anti-cheat was already running during loading: close all games with anti-cheat and start the cheat before Rust. Error 19 — restart the PC and right away, without other programs, load the cheat again.
